Spanish Summer Club for Kids

Spanish Summer Club for kids: Fun, Friends & Spanish by the Sea
Spanish Summer Club in Alcudia, Mallorca
At Spanish Summer Club, every day is a new adventure! Children learn Spanish naturally while exploring, creating and having fun both on the beach and in the classroom. Thanks to our prime location just steps from the beautiful sandy beach, children can enjoy outdoor games and activities whenever the weather conditions are suitable.
We combine immersive Spanish lessons, arts and crafts, educational games, creative workshops and outdoor activities to make every day exciting, educational and memorable.
Fun is the way we learn, but learning Spanish is always the goal!
Our Summer Club is designed to help children learn Spanish, improve their existing skills and gain confidence using the language in a fun, supportive and engaging environment.
Led by a native Spanish teacher with specialist training in teaching children and teenagers, as well as Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE), the programme combines structured language learning with games, movement, creativity and real-life communication.
Children practise useful everyday Spanish, such as greeting others, introducing themselves, shopping in a store or supermarket, ordering food in a restaurant, talking about the weather and using the calendar. Through role-play, interactive activities and meaningful conversations, they develop their vocabulary, practise grammar in context and improve their listening and speaking skills.
Why choose Spanish Summer Club?

Schedule: 09:00–13:00 (Day Camp, no overnight stay)
| Time | Activity |
|---|---|
| 09:00–09:45 | Welcome & Warm-up Games & Daily Rutines (Classroom) – songs, icebreakers, mini-missions, flashcards, new vocabulary. All in Spanish. |
| 09:45–10:30 | Beach Games & Forest Games – Active outdoor games in Spanish, using movement and play to practise and reinforce vocabulary, follow instructions and communicate naturally. Depending on the weather and temperature, activities take place on the beach or in the nearby shaded forest. Children learn by doing: playing Twister to practise colours, body parts, left and right; playing El pañuelo (the handkerchief game) to recognise and reinforce new vocabulary; playing hopscotch to practise numbers; or going on a hunt for opposites. Every game has a language-learning purpose, helping children understand and use Spanish in a fun, natural and meaningful way. Activities may vary depending on weather conditions or parents’ preferences. If outdoor activities are not suitable, we will enjoy engaging, play-based Spanish learning activities at the academy instead. |
| 10:30–10:50 | Mid-morning Snack – Water and a snack are included. Depending on children’s allergies and intolerances, this may be fresh fruit, dairy products or small savoury snacks. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements in advance. Children are also welcome to bring their own snack if preferred. |
| 11:50–12:00 | Creative Spanish Time – arts & crafts, cooking, painting, role-playing, theater in the classroom or covered space. Learn Spanish vocabulary, expressions and communication while having fun. |
| 12:00–12:30 | Spanish Adventure Challenges – educational games, interactive activities, storytelling, traditional games – practice vocabulary, grammar and conversations naturally. |
| 12:30–13:00 | Wrap-up, Reflection & Optional Lunch Time – At the end of the activities, children can head home or stay a little longer to enjoy lunch with their classmates. Staying for lunch is completely optional, and children who wish to stay are welcome to bring their own packed lunch (lunchbox), as lunch is not provided by us. We’ll stay together in the classroom, chatting in Spanish, listening to Spanish songs or enjoying other calm activities. It’s a lovely opportunity to wind down, share the day’s highlights and enjoy a little more Spanish together before heading home. If your child has any specific dietary needs, needs to eat at a different time or has any other requirements related to mealtimes, please let us know. We’ll be happy to discuss how we can accommodate their needs. |
Full-day Spanish Summer Club: 4 hours of Spanish learning through a communicative, play-based approach, with creative workshops, vocabulary-building, fun grammar activities, a mid-morning snack, native teacher and outdoor games on the beach or in the forest – all included!
What Your Child Will Learn at Our Spanish Summer Club
Our Spanish Summer Club combines fun, meaningful activities with structured language learning. Children learn and improve their Spanish through communication, games, creative workshops, role-play, songs and hands-on activities.
Throughout the summer, we build on a core set of everyday language skills while introducing new vocabulary, useful expressions and communicative functions through different weekly themes.
Core Spanish Skills Practised Every Week
These essential skills are revisited throughout the Summer Club, helping children build confidence, reinforce what they already know and gradually become more independent Spanish speakers.
Greetings & introductions – greeting others, introducing themselves and getting to know their classmates.
Daily routines & useful expressions – understanding and using everyday phrases and essential Spanish for real-life situations.
Days, dates & calendar – talking about the day, date, month and upcoming events.
Weather & seasons – asking about and describing the weather.
Time & numbers – practising numbers and learning to understand and talk about time.
Everyday communication – asking and answering simple questions, expressing needs and participating in conversations.
Vocabulary & Communication Topics Explored Throughout the Summer
Depending on the week, children’s ages and their existing Spanish level, we introduce and develop different topics and communicative functions, such as:
Colours, body parts & descriptions – identifying body parts, describing people and things, and using adjectives.
Food & drinks – naming foods, expressing likes and dislikes, talking about meals and practising how to order in a restaurant.
Shopping & everyday situations – learning useful expressions for shops, markets and supermarkets.
Summer & beach vocabulary – learning words and phrases related to the beach, summer activities and holidays.
Clothes & personal belongings – naming clothes and everyday items and describing what we wear.
Animals & nature – talking about pets, sea life and the natural world around us.
Family & home – describing family members, rooms and familiar surroundings.
Feelings, preferences & opinions – expressing emotions, saying what we like or dislike, and sharing simple opinions.
Songs, stories & creative activities – developing listening comprehension, vocabulary and pronunciation through engaging activities.
Traditional Spanish games & cultural expressions – discovering games, expressions and traditions while using Spanish naturally.
Learning Progressively Across Multiple Weeks
Each additional week gives children more opportunities to practise, consolidate and expand their Spanish. New topics and activities build on previously learned language, with grammar introduced naturally through meaningful communication.
1 week: develop or reinforce essential vocabulary and everyday communication skills through a varied programme of games and activities.
2 weeks: consolidate the basics and explore additional vocabulary, expressions and communicative situations, such as ordering in a restaurant or shopping, depending on the weekly programme.
3 weeks: build on previous learning, develop longer exchanges, improve listening comprehension and use a wider range of language with increasing independence.
4 weeks: reinforce and broaden vocabulary and grammatical structures, communicate more confidently and apply Spanish across a wider range of everyday and creative situations.
Every Week Is Independent – and Every Week Builds on the Basics
Children can join for any week of the Summer Club without having attended previous weeks. Each week offers a complete programme of activities, with its own themes and learning opportunities.
At the same time, essential Spanish – including greetings, introductions, daily expressions, the date, weather and time – is practised every week. This repetition helps children remember and use the language more confidently, while new vocabulary, communicative functions and grammar are gradually introduced through different activities.
Whether your child joins for one week or several, they will have opportunities to learn, practise and improve their Spanish while making friends and enjoying a summer full of activities.
